It’s finals week here at Sierra Nevada College, and I’m taking 21 credits. One of the things I love more than anything about living in the mountains is it makes skiing between responsibilities as easy as going to the gym. An hour and a half gets you out and back from tamarack peak off of Mt. Rose summit, a perfect workout and 1200 feet of vertical. That includes time to stop and take a picture.
The rain and snow combo caused all of the pine boughs to freeze into solid ice, but the skiing was perfect.
